We were looking forward to our churches' VBS program this summer and yet again it did not disapoint! This year they "Journeyed off the Map" and 'adventured' somewhere new every day. Our church does an amazing job of creating a fun and upbeat program for kids and their friends from the community. Cole was so upset that he still has to wait for one more year - he is ready to go! To help Cole feel like he was a part of the fun we would sneak up to the balcony and watch the worship and drama every morning. They had one guy on stage who would breakdance during certain parts of the song and Cole was just in awe!
On the final night they had a big family festival. Drew was out of town so I was on my own with the three and was a little nervous about keeping track of them with so many people but they did great and had so much fun! It was a late night to bed! They had bouncy houses, rock climbing and zip lining. Again Cole was not impressed he was too small for the zip line (maybe next year buddy!) Again this program just reiterated how much I love our church and how they execute their outreach and service programs. I love the community surrounding it and how our kids are growing up in a place where they see people from their community excited about God. What a blessing!
