Older Boys Are So Cool!

While back in Calgary we had our annual boxing day supper with the Hus / Huber families.  The Hiller and Huber families go way back and for years now we have been able to coordinate a get together with anyone who was in town for the holidays (although we missed seeing the BC Hubers and Okrainec family).  As a mom with boys it is always fun to see the Hus boys as it gives me a glimpse into what life will be like in a few years.  Plus, these are seriously some of the nicest boys you'll meet.  They love other kids and take such good care of the little ones (they have a lot of younger cousins to practice with).  Sam (and this year Cole) simply adored them and looked up to them.  The boys wasted no time in taking Sam under their wing and proceeded to build forts with him and teach him how to play pool - they even whispered to me that they were tapping some balls in so Sam would feel good about  his pool playing skills.  They carried Cole all over the place and chased him to his heart's content.  Tonight as I tucked Cole into bed he looked up and me and said Ben (Ben is the oldest and played a lot with him).  These boys definitely left an impression on our little guys.

Don't you love the look on Sam's face in these pictures. It is so good for Sam and Cole to have such role models.
