Wow...9 years already! It is wild to think another year has come and gone and we celebrated 9 years of marriage while we were back in Calgary.
The grandparents graciously watched our children after we put them to bed so we could enjoy a night out on the town to celebrate. We ended up at the Calgary Tower and spent the evening reminiscing about our wedding 9 years ago. From the tower, we had a clear view of the city and were able to think back on our time dating and our first year of marriage in Calgary. On our way home, we drove past the Chamber of Commerce where our reception was, and then drove through the University of Calgary where we met. We have truly had an amazing 9 years together full of wonderful memories and experiences. We are simply just so blessed to have each other!
When we arrived home we were greeted by grandparents who told us that that our little Cole had other plans after we put him down and left for the evening. The little monkey was up for two hours after we left refusing to go to bed. Both Oma and Grandma tried to calm him down but apparently he was somewhat miffed that his mom was not there to tuck him in. However, Grandpa saved the day and Cole feel asleep in Grandpa's lap and was tucked into bed by the time we got home. Ironically, on our anniversary we forgot to get a picture of each other, but instead, have a picture of our little one snuggled with with his grandpa.
