Whidbey Island Fair

Our family loves taking the ferry over to Whidbey island.  It seems like such a nice getaway so close to home.  This past weekend we had decided to go over and then realized our plans coincided with the  Island Fair.  We hit the beach first and then made to Langley just in time for their parade. It was perfect - small, quaint and they threw lots of candy.  From there we made our way to the fairgrounds and filled the kids full of carnival food (corn dogs, fries, shave ice and elephant ears!)  The kids loved checking out all the animals but the highlight was the rides.  Believe it or not this was our kids first time on amusement park style rides and they loved it.  In true form Sam was nervous at first and needed a little push but had the best time and is still telling us he wished we could fit a ride in our backyard.

Cole loves the beach!

Look a bug!

The Langley parade - so cute!

Eliza loved the horses

A couple lovely ladies joined Cole for his ride.  He loved being their chauffeur.

Sam loved being behind Cole and the girls...shooting them with his gun.  Geesh.

Look at this face - this kid means business!
