A Day at the Doctor

As we have been away on and off the last few of weeks I was a couple weeks late getting Eliza's 9 month wellness appointment booked.  As a result, when we went yesterday boy did we keep them busy-  Sam's 5 year, Cole's 3 year and Eliza's 9 month - all at once!  The doctor was very thorough - we were there for an hour and a half!  All kids got a clean bill of health, were incredibly well behaved considering how long we were there and took their shots like champs! Sam is right on track and passed his eye exam with flying colors.  Cole is now walking without a limp and got lots of praise for how brave he was while in his cast and Eliza is just perfect developmentally (and showed off her new skill of pulling to standing on EVERYTHING).  All of the kids weight and height fell in the 75th percentile for their age - talk about our kids all having the same build!  Eliza has actually 'slimmed' a bit and dropped from the 90th percentile.  She weighed in at 21lbs 3 oz so we are thinking we are going to have to transition her into a rear facing convertible seat as her bucket only goes up to 22lbs.

The only thing we need to watch is Eliza's iron levels.  Her blood test came back right on the very low side of normal so we will be working to get her some more iron rich foods in the next few months before they re test her.  It is funny to me that she is on the low side - the girl loves meat - steak being one of her favorites!  I am pretty sure it will be no problem by her next appointment.

There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for three healthy, beautiful children.  I am very aware that is not the case for so many and pray for continued health daily for these kiddos.
