Spring Break

Oh my.  It was so nice to stay close to home for spring break this year.  I think everyone was just tired and ready for a little R & R.

We had a great time an kept pretty busy.  We...

Stayed in our pjs much later than usual

Spent a morning jumping at Pump It Up

Hit the library in search of as many Magic Tree House books as we can get our hands on.  Sam couldn't put them down as seen here as he was eating lunch and reading

Went to the zoo (and saw the elephants on their last day)

Enjoyed the sun with friends

and hit a few parks

We even managed to get Drew to take a couple hours off and join us at the pool one afternoon as he was heading out to New Jersey and would have to leave on a Sunday.  The kids had a great break and we all started back into school this week refreshed an ready to make it to summer!

What a bust!  3 cold and tired kids in the dark woods and no owls!  It's now a running joke in our home as the  tour guide kept 'hooting' trying to draw the owl's attention.  If we want someone's attention in the house we often hoot at each other now...
