A couple of months ago Drew came home from a work conference with a couple bottles of Voss water. After they were finished, I chucked them in the recycling without a second thought. Days later, I came across an idea on Pinterest using those exact water bottles. I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of the idea myself and had missed my chance, so I begged Drew to bring me back those bottles if he ever happened upon them again during his work travels. (I know, I know, I could have just gone to buy it myself but I am way to cheap!)
Well Drew didn't disappoint and today we turned our Voss water bottle into an I spy game. The boys enjoyed hunting for small objects, putting them in our bottle, and layering them with rice. Of course, after making such an exciting new game we had to have a couple lessons in turn taking as neither boy wanted to give up their new toy. The best part of the whole thing? I have seen these bottles in stores for about $30 dollars. The cost of ours was a few household trinkets, an empty water bottle from Drew's travels, and some sushi rice!
