In the Last Eight Years We....

-Said "I do" in our beautiful winter wedding followed by an escape from the snow to Mexico.
-Moved into our little rental townhouse as we started our married life in Calgary
-Started the never ending and overwhelming immigration process for Erin
-Said goodbye to friends and family in Calgary and left for Lafayette,, Indiana for Drew to attend Purdue for his MBA. One of us cried for weeks after the move :)
-Met lots of wonderful friends in Indiana, enjoyed trips to Chicago (especially the Bongo Room....yum!) and had a summer internship in PA that allowed us to travel around the east coast.
-Bought a dog...a much bigger dog than we bargained for!
-Took a job in Collegeville, PA, yet another move, yet another opportunity to meet new friends, find a new church, and learn the ins and outs of the curvy PA roads.
-Bought our first home in Spring City PA - surrounded by wonderful neighbors.
-Went to Italy, slept late, ate pastries, drank coffee and loved every minute.
-Met our firstborn son, and life would never be the same
-Made the decision to venture back out West to Seattle for a new job. Drove across the county with a 15 month old and a dog. Found out we were pregnant weeks after arrival with baby #2.
-Enjoyed being much closer to family and friends and had many to Seattle for visits.
-Welcomed Cole into our world, and moved into a new home all within a week!

This list is only the tip of the iceberg. It doesn't include the french toast breakfasts and lattes we made in our early years, our many opportunities to travel together, countless hours spent in conversation and prayer, and all the surprises that come with kids. Whew...what an eight years it has been. Best of all, we have done all these amazing adventures together! Happy Anniversary to us!

Sun River and Portland for Mid Winter Break

Drew had a conference in Sun River OR this past winter and we made the call to tag along for a little vacation.  Things were slightly dampened by the fact that it appears Cole has developed car sickness since the summer. Ugh.  The drive was so long! However, it was worth it in the end and we had a wonderful time relaxing in an amazing little chalet, enjoying the snow, sitting in the hot tub, sledding and skating!  Couldn't have asked for more fun!  A stop at our favorite in Mt. Hood - El burro loco! A glass of wine after our 6 hour road trip turned into 10 hours due to car sickness!  Right before our Owl Walk.  We were told we could walk into the wood and hear the owls. What a bust!  3 cold and tired kids in the dark woods and no owls!  It's now a running joke in our home as the  tour guide kept 'hooting' trying to draw the owl's attention.  If we want someone's attention in the house we often hoot at each other now...
