Dear God,
Words cannot express how thankful we are for the gift of Samuel; he is such a blessing in our lives. We thank you that you have great plans for him and pray that you guide him and bless him as he grows, and that you walk with him throughout his life.
Lord, we also pray that you would grant us the wisdom as his parents to raise him in a way that would be pleasing in your sight. Most importantly, we pray that Sam will come to know you as his Lord and Savior and will live his life as a testament to you. Amen.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
