For the past few months, our small group has been attempting to meet once a month for a group get together. So far we hosted a fondue night, had deep fried turkey at the Chiodi's, and tonight the Eby's invited us to their farm in Lancaster for some good ol' fun! We planned that Sam would nap in the car but he chose to throw us a curve ball and stayed awake for most of the trip. When we realized he wasn't going to get his afternoon nap we decided that the evening could go two ways...Sam would either be very cranky due to missing his nap, or he would rise to the occasion and have a fabulous time. We are happy to report that despite a rocky start, Sam rose to the occassion. He had a wonderful time and aboslutely loved all the animals (cows, chickens, horses and of course, his favorite, a sweet black dog!). Sam loved having so much room to roam around and wanted to explore everywhere. However, by the time bedtime rolled around he was definitely ready....it took him a whole 30 seconds until he was conked out on the car ride home. He is now soundly asleep in bed and we like to think he is having very pleasant dreams about his farmyard adventures. We got some cute pics and can't resist posting them!

Drew had a conference in Sun River OR this past winter and we made the call to tag along for a little vacation. Things were slightly dampened by the fact that it appears Cole has developed car sickness since the summer. Ugh. The drive was so long! However, it was worth it in the end and we had a wonderful time relaxing in an amazing little chalet, enjoying the snow, sitting in the hot tub, sledding and skating! Couldn't have asked for more fun! A stop at our favorite in Mt. Hood - El burro loco! A glass of wine after our 6 hour road trip turned into 10 hours due to car sickness! Right before our Owl Walk. We were told we could walk into the wood and hear the owls. What a bust! 3 cold and tired kids in the dark woods and no owls! It's now a running joke in our home as the tour guide kept 'hooting' trying to draw the owl's attention. If we want someone's attention in the house we often hoot at each other now...
