I am so behind! I can't believe that I am posting about putting our tree up the day we actually ended up taking it down for the season. Oh well, better late than never! The boys knew the drill but this was Eliza's first tree and she was captivated. She would often walk over to it and point at it while babbling away reminding us to put on the lights. Our artificial tree is rather sad - a six foot little tree in a room with 20 foot ceilings but no one has ever seemed to notice. I guess when the kids were little the tree always looked big to them. However, this year Sam is getting older and growing bigger and for the first time we heard the words 'little' tree. Sam informed us that he used to think our tree was big but now it looked kind of little and frequently over the next few weeks asked why our tree was so little. I have wanted a bigger tree for a long time now so maybe next year is our year to get something bigger...or cut a fresh one! Either way our little tree did look pretty...and at least to Eliza looked pretty big.
