Last week we went to PCC Natural Market in Redmond for a store tour with our mom's group. I had never been there before and it is quite the place! The food and produce there is fabulous (and all organic / natural). Sam loved getting a peek at all the secret places (mainly the door where the trucks deliver the food and the huge walk in freezer full of delicious ice cream) and Cole loved the goodie bag we got at the end (filled with apples and oranges).
Before we left Sam was able to play "cashier" on a real till with some real food. He loved it and took his job of scanning items and printing receipts very seriously. I didn't think Cole would be too interested to try but he marched up to the register, climbed up on the apple crate and got to work. The kid knew exactly what to do and scanned each item by himself. I guess that is the advantage of always having an older brother to watch.
After the tour we did a little shop for some items we needed as we were having friends over for dinner the next evening. It was then we found the the best find of the day - some island coconut ice cream that is to die for (and made not far away at Snoqualmie Ice Cream). Yum.
