4 Months Old

It is hard for us to believe that Cole is already 4 months old! He went for his check up on Friday and is doing great and growing like a champ. Here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 16 oz (75th - 90th percentile)
Height: 26 1/4 inches (90th - 95th percentile!)

Cole is an absolute delight - such a sweet little boy. Although, currently he is a cranky little thing. After telling the doctor my suspicion she did a quick check in his mouth and agreed that it looks like our little one is going to pop his first tooth soon! Sam got his first a week after he turned 4 months and it looks like Cole is going to follow suit. Poor little fellow is drooling and chewing on almost anything he can get his hands on and you can see (and almost feel) a little white point of a tooth just trying to poke out. **Sigh** Looks like we have another early teether on our hands!

Ollie got his first 2 teeth at 4 months too...what is up with that? There is no need for teeth that young. Poor little fellow.

Sun River and Portland for Mid Winter Break

Drew had a conference in Sun River OR this past winter and we made the call to tag along for a little vacation.  Things were slightly dampened by the fact that it appears Cole has developed car sickness since the summer. Ugh.  The drive was so long! However, it was worth it in the end and we had a wonderful time relaxing in an amazing little chalet, enjoying the snow, sitting in the hot tub, sledding and skating!  Couldn't have asked for more fun!  A stop at our favorite in Mt. Hood - El burro loco! A glass of wine after our 6 hour road trip turned into 10 hours due to car sickness!  Right before our Owl Walk.  We were told we could walk into the wood and hear the owls. What a bust!  3 cold and tired kids in the dark woods and no owls!  It's now a running joke in our home as the  tour guide kept 'hooting' trying to draw the owl's attention.  If we want someone's attention in the house we often hoot at each other now...
