Eliza is two months old today. There is a part of me that feels like she has been around forever and another part that can't believe it has been two months already.
How can I sum up our little girl. She really is the sweetest thing and has the prettiest smile (her whole face just lights up). She loves her brothers and saves her biggest smiles for them. She is strong and alert and soaks in everything around her. She is just learning and growing so quickly.
However, we are quickly learning that she is an opinionated little thing. She has very strong preferences and clearly makes them known. To date she has 'informed' us that she does not enjoy: car rides, car seats, her swing, her carrier or wrap, pacifiers, hiccups, or falling asleep during the day in general. Silly monkey.
It seems to me that she has a lot of 'stomach' issues which we were all to familiar with when Sam was little and it would also explain why she yo yos from completely unsettled to perfectly content so quickly. We are hopeful that most of these issues are just kinks in her newborn system and will work there way out around the 12 week mark. So for the time being we are taking the wait and see approach and enjoying holding, snuggling and bouncing her....all day long!
Despite her opinions we are just loving getting to know her. She gets doted on by everyone and gets plenty of attention. She is just simply adorable and we can't imagine life without her!
