Jana Alayra!
Our church had a morning of Christmas festivities on Saturday and the highlight of the morning was a concert put on by Jana Alyria. She has multiple CD's that are used frequently in MOPS classes, VBS camps and sunday schools. Her songs are simple messages of God's love with a fun beat that kids enjoy. Sam has been been singing her songs as he learns them and was pretty excited to see her concert. Though both boys dance like maniacs at home they could not muster even the slightest movement during the concert....I think they were too in awe of the lights and sounds! At one point Sam was invited up on stage with a bunch of other kids and stood there looking like a deer in the headlights. He sung along to the song but despite knowing all the actions, the kid stood stone still...what a goof. The boys got to meet Jana after the concert and Sam was thrilled that she signed his CD and gave him a hug. She is honestly perfect for her role. She is so upbeat and gets down to each kids level and greets them as if they are the most important kid ever. She apparently will never cut off a line of people to meet her and will stay for hours to make sure any kid who wants to talk to her gets a chance. She has great music for kids (without being cheesy or redundant) with a really positive message. Our whole family is definitely a fan of this gal!
