The boys had a great time making their rounds of the neighborhood last night. We headed out around 6:00 and made it back by 7:00 - just in time for about 100 trick or treaters to come by our house!
Sam was a pro running up to the door, ringing the bell and saying trick or treat. Cole was a pro at trying to wander into people's homes while trying to grab as much candy as his little hands could hold. Cole came back a little early with Mom to hand out candy but Sam kept going and did our whole neighborhood. There were a few houses that were pretty scary (seriously, who dresses up as a creepy, bloody old man and jumps at a 1 and 3 year old while they are getting candy - come on people!) but although a little shaken, Sam was pretty brave and managed to keep on going (we heard one of our little neighbors had to call it quits after visiting that house).
The boys were wired when they got home (and they hadn't had any candy yet) and really enjoyed opening up the door and helping to hand out candy to the masses. Cole learned a couple of new words ('andy' and 'open'- how fitting) and both boys got to enjoy some of their treats.
Now the job becomes managing the candy. There have already been requests and it is only 9AM! I think we have enough to last us until next Halloween.
