This past Sunday was a special day, and not just because it was Mothers Day. What can top all the pampering that comes with Mother's Day you ask? The answer is simple, having your youngest son dedicated. Exactly two years ago we had Sam dedicated on Mother's Day at our church in PA and it seemed fitting that it was Cole's turn this year. Again we were honored to have family come for the event and celebrate with us.
We were asked to find a verse that summed up our feelings of our hopes for Cole's spiritual journey. Although they did not post the verse on the screen during the dedication, Cole will receive a special certificate reminder of the day with Colossians 1:9-12 written on it.
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
We simply couldn't express our desires for him better than this.
