A few weeks ago the boys and I enjoyed a gardening for kids presentation with a mom's group that I am a part of. It was really cute and they ended the time with giving the kiddos pea seeds to plant. Sam was thrilled about planting his seeds and diligently watered his plant daily and looked for signs of life.
Now, it should be noted that I am not a green thumb. I have been known to kill many a plant and even succeed at killing a cactus at one point. I just don't have the skill to make things grow so I was hoping desperately that Sam's little seeds would grow despite my inability.
Fortunately out of the seven we planted one little shoot appeared today. Thank goodness. Sam was over the moon and wanted a little picture of him by his new plant.
Now let's see how long this one will survive (and if any more will appear). I am not holding my breath!
